This notice describes how 4DGE TECHNOLOGY (PTY) LTD handles information when you visit the 4DGE E-commerce website, register or use a 4DGE account, place a platform plan order, contact support, or administer a store through the platform. It was last updated on 1 October 2026.

Depending on how you use the service, information may include account and contact details such as your name, username, email address and phone number; account verification and authentication events; shop and plan details such as shop name, subdomain, selected theme, plan, order and payment status; messages and attachments submitted through contact or support features; and store information such as products, orders, settings and customer records entered into a tenant store.

The platform and its hosting environment may also process technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as session and cookie data, browser or device details, IP/network information and application or security logs. Payment references or evidence you submit may be stored with the relevant order. Payment providers or integrations may separately handle information when you or a store owner uses them.

Information is used to create and maintain accounts; authenticate users and support account recovery; provision and operate stores; record plan orders and their status; provide support and respond to enquiries; operate, troubleshoot and protect the platform; and meet applicable legal obligations. Information is used for these service purposes according to the features and configuration involved.

A store owner may use the platform to manage information about that store’s customers, products and orders. The store owner decides what customer information to collect and how to use it through the store, and must provide any notices and make any choices required for that store. 4DGE provides the platform functions used to host and manage that store information. The parties’ responsibilities depend on the particular processing and any applicable agreement; this notice does not replace a store owner’s own privacy notice.

The website and platform use session and browser storage needed for functions such as signing in, maintaining a shopping cart, protecting forms and keeping the service working. Store features or integrations may use additional storage according to their configuration. You can manage cookies through your browser; blocking necessary cookies may prevent some account or store functions from working.

Information may be made available to hosting and infrastructure providers needed to run the platform, payment providers or integrations selected or enabled for an order or store, and other service providers used to deliver a requested feature. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or to address a security or service-protection issue. The providers involved depend on the service and configuration you use; review their own privacy information where applicable.

Information is retained for the period needed for the relevant account, store, order, support, security or legal purpose. Retention periods vary by record type and system, and backups or logs may remain until their normal retention cycle ends. This notice does not promise a particular deletion timeframe. You may contact us with a request concerning your information.

We use administrative and technical measures intended to protect information handled by the platform. No internet transmission or electronic storage method can be represented as completely secure. Keep your account credentials private and contact us through the Contact page if you suspect unauthorised access.

For a privacy question or request concerning information that 4DGE handles, use the Contact page and identify the account or store concerned. Do not include passwords or payment credentials. Requests and complaints are handled under applicable South African data-protection law, including the Protection of Personal Information Act where it applies.
